If you’re into fashion, there’s nothing better than finding a cute new shop with unique pieces that aligns with your style. Nothing! That, ladies and gentlemen, is how I’m feeling about The Mint Julep.
I’m personally really digging pieces that are outside of what I would normally wear. I think that’s what makes fashion fun and helps your style to evolve. You know, it keeps things exciting! This color is not commonly found in my closet, and it’s actually been a really long time since I’ve worn a royal or even navy blue (I actually had to scan through old blog posts to verify this. It’s confirmed). But I’m glad I threw it back into the mix! I love how it pops against these white pants (as you can see, I definitely don’t follow the “no white pants after labor” day rule), and how think it’s a great fall shade that you don’t quite see as much as the taupes and olives.
The cutout ruffle sleeves are of course the focus of this top, and the main reason I chose it. They’re so cute! For size reference, I’m wearing a small, so it is TTS. The Mint Julep has a ton of similar sweaters and other cool pieces like this. For instance, I have BOTH of my heart eyes on this leopard print kimono. I would actually wear it over a light colored swing dress, exactly like it is in the photo. If you check out their site, sign up for the emails to save $10 off of your first order!
For accessories, I’ve started to really love handmade, boho-style pieces exactly like the earrings I’m wearing, which are from Litva’s Jewelry. I love hoop earrings, and the aquamarine color is beautiful. Definitely something I’ll be re-wearing.
I kept the bag and shoes neutral (blush is a neutral, right?!) to keep the focus on the top. But, I do love the way that the navy and blush work together. My bag is last season from Express, but here is an almost identical option.
